Introduction

 This is my exploration of my steps to becoming a new illustrator in the future & how I learn about improving my chances of being successful in this career path. I shall write about the lectures I attended during the university's Creative Futures week as well as my own personal development & inspirations.

 I found the Creative Futures week to be lacking in Illustration lectures, most of the them were more relevant to Graphic Designers. However I still took notes that could be applicable towards my own career.

 It was rather difficult to find galleries that were aimed towards Illustration also. Most were fine art or sculptures. On the other hand I did find some "hidden gems" in places I did not expect to find them!

 Promoting myself is something I have been working on, on & off in my personal time. This is mainly through social media, attempting to speak to my favourite illustrators & creating my own website.
